Kim Kardashian Fifth Wheel Steals the Show: Comedy Film Lands on Netflix

Kim Kardashian is making her way to Netflix with the upcoming romcom, The Fifth Wheel. Following a competitive bidding process, Netflix secured the distribution rights for the film, in which Kardashian will not only take the lead in the female-driven ensemble cast but also serve as a producer.

Plot details and additional casting choices remain undisclosed at this time, but Paula Pell, renowned for her work on Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock, co-wrote the script with comedian Janine Brito, her wife and co-star in the Netflix comedy series Girls5eva.

Several distributors vied for the film, and there were discussions about a theatrical release before Netflix emerged as the winner, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

While Kim Kardashian is best known for her reality TV stints, including Keeping Up With the Kardashians and The Kardashians, she has ventured into scripted projects in the past. In addition to minor roles on TV shows like Drop Dead Diva and CSI: NY, Kardashian has appeared in films such as Disaster Movie (2008), Deep in the Valley (2009), and Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor (2013). Notably, she recently made a significant appearance in American Horror Story: Delicate, the latest season of the horror anthology series, portraying celebrity publicist Siobhan Corbyn.
