Lisa Bonet Files for Divorce from Jason Momoa – What Went Wrong?

Lisa Bonet, also known by her legal name Lilakoi Moon, has officially filed for divorce from Jason Momoa, marking the end of their 18-year relationship. The 56-year-old actress submitted the necessary documents in Los Angeles County court on a Monday, nearly two years after the couple publicly announced their separation.

Citing irreconcilable differences as the grounds for the divorce, the filing emphasizes that neither party is seeking financial support, and they have reached an agreement on the equitable distribution of their assets. According to the documents, Lisa and Jason have mutually decided on joint custody of their 16-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son.

Renowned for his roles in the “Aquaman” movies and “Game of Thrones,” 44-year-old Momoa and Bonet, a former star of “The Cosby Show” and its spinoff “A Different World,” as well as notable films like “High Fidelity” and “Enemy of the State,” met in 2005 and began their relationship. Despite legally marrying in 2017, the divorce documents list their separation date as October 2020, a year before the public announcement. The divorce is expected to be finalized at least six months from now, pending a judge’s approval.

This marks Momoa’s first marriage and Bonet’s second, as she was previously married to musician Lenny Kravitz, with whom she shares another daughter, actor Zoë Kravitz.
