NFL Fines TE George Kittle $13,659 for T-Shirt Reveal during win over Cowboys

Oct.15 : George Kittle, the San Francisco 49ers’ talented tight end, recently found himself in the spotlight for an unusual reason. He was fined $13,659 by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct during the last Sunday night’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

In a moment of celebration following Jordan Mason’s impressive 26-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, Kittle revealed a personalized T-shirt under his uniform. The shirt carried a message that read “F— Dallas,” and it quickly became the talk of the game. San Francisco ultimately secured a resounding 42-10 victory.

Kittle seemed prepared for the league’s response, having anticipated the fine throughout the week. In his own words, “Probably get a fine,” he said. “Wore a personalized T-shirt. Maybe an inappropriate word. … It is what it is. It’s a decision I made. If they want to fine me, they fine me.”

He went on to explain that the T-shirt was a tribute to former 49ers linebacker Gary Plummer, who had donned a similar shirt during the 1994 NFC Championship Game against Dallas. The outcome of that game was a victory for the 49ers, leading to their Super Bowl XXIX win.

Despite the fine from the league, Kittle has no regrets about his decision, even after scoring a career-high three touchdowns in the game. “100%. I’d do it again,” he affirmed.

Kittle’s actions not only demonstrated his dedication to a storied NFL rivalry but also caught the attention of those in Dallas. The incident may have added fuel to the fire for a potential rematch in the playoffs.

Dallas linebacker Micah Parsons weighed in, saying, “I just feel like he’s making it way more personal than it had to be. Kittle’s my guy, but I’m going to say this: Laugh now, cry later. We got something for that, just trust. If we see them again, just trust. … You going to make it personal? We can make it personal.”

Kittle’s bold move has certainly added an extra layer of intrigue to the rivalry, setting the stage for potential future showdowns.
