Rebecca Loos Slams David Beckham’s Portrayal of Himself as a Victim in Netflix Series

Rebecca Loos expresses her dissatisfaction with the reappearance of her past association with David Beckham. The Netflix docuseries “Beckham” delves into the life of the soccer superstar, shedding light on a nearly two-decade-old alleged affair with Loos, who once served as his personal assistant.

Today, Loos is a married mother of two residing in Norway. In a conversation with the Daily Mail, she shed light on Beckham’s reaction to the long-past scandal. The docuseries features both David and Victoria Beckham reminiscing about the anguish they endured during that period due to intense media scrutiny. David recalled the pain his wife Victoria felt at the time.

Loos voiced her perspective on the matter in the new interview, stating, “He can say whatever he likes, of course, and I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim and he’s making me look like a liar, like I’ve made up these stories. He is indirectly suggesting that I’m the one who has made Victoria suffer.”

The alleged affair transpired after Beckham was transferred to play in Madrid, and Loos was employed by him in Spain. In 2004, during an interview with Sky News, she asserted that she and the athlete initially became involved the previous year, after they were spotted leaving a nightclub together. She remarked, “I think the chemistry between David and I was so strong, and people were not happy because I was being very unprofessional and he’s a married man.”

Beckham refuted the allegations of infidelity at the time, stating, “The simple truth is that I am very happily married and have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change this,” according to the Guardian.

Rebecca Loos has moved on since then, noting the difference in attitudes between England and Norway. She described Norway as less judgmental, saying, “Here people are cool about it. They don’t care. Most of them [Norwegian friends] say, ‘Well, I was with a married man once and I did this…’ It’s like everyone has done something at some point.”

Beckham” is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
